Studio V, which opened at the beginning of June, aims to offer more than just fashion to its customers. Through all-encompassing image consulting, owner Felicia Williams helps customers achieve their professional goals, whether that is finding a new job or advancing in their current one. Career guidance and fashion advice go hand-in-hand at this boutique.
In addition to the clothing and accessories offered at Studio V, Williams offers resume help, interview prep, and appearance advice to women, creating an experience focused on female empowerment. She noted that if a woman meets with her for image consultation and career guidance, but is unable to afford the clothing and accessories offered, she will take them shopping elsewhere to advise in their fashion choices.
Williams named the shop after her mother, Vera, who is a sixteen-year breast cancer survivor. Bringing awareness to breast cancer is a passion for Williams, and she hopes to use Studio V to help accomplish this. From little things like ribbons on bags to bigger things like participating in fundraisers, Williams wants her boutique to empower women to “fight like girls” when it comes to breast cancer.
Located at 891 E. Long St. in the historic King-Lincoln District, Studio V is open Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., both for drop-in browsing and private appointments. The official website will be launched in the coming weeks.
