Screen on the Green Ends with “Best In Show”

Dog shows can be helplessly dramatic. Most of us have caught glimpses of them on television and some of us may have even participated in them, but one thing is indisputable: prestigious canine competitions are unintentionally hilarious. So when beloved mockumentarian Christopher Guest spoofs the world’s largest dog show and includes actors like Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Parker Posey, and Fred Willard, you have no choice but to watch. And laugh really hard.

Classic cartoons will be shown at 7:15 p.m. and the movie starts at 7:45. Refreshments from the Clintonville Community Market, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Mikey’s Late Night Slice, and Rad Dogveg will be available for sale. Melissa Starker with the GFC will hand out free movie passes before the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and flashlights. There is no rain date.
