Create-your-own growlers have become the latest trend in the craft and small brew world, fueled in no small part by the emergence of beer boutiques – stores designed to fulfill customer desire for microbrews and limited editions of their favorite local ales. Savor Growl is the latest in this exciting movement, prepared to offer Clintonville more of its favorite hoppy beverage than it might be able to handle.

Savor Growl is the second installment from franchise manager and owner Firas Habli and will open at the site of the former Weber Market at 2991 Indianola Avenue. The new store will primarily focus on locally-made beers where its predecessor, Savor Market, carries a more vast selection.

“We’re trying to help all the little breweries… they have to pay for bottling, labeling, shipping. It’s expensive,” says Habli. “We’re bringing the brewery to the people, so they can drink craft beer anywhere they want.”

Savor Growl will carry over sixty varieties of artisan beer on tap, and will have a massive walk-in cooler designed to house over two hundred kegs at a time. So whether you’re catering a house party, or large scale event, they will have your libation needs covered.

The grand opening is set for early April although the store is currently open as a beer barn. Customers do not have to own a Savor growler to get filled, and for anywhere from $9-$20, patrons can take home stouts, ales, and lagers from their most beloved breweries.

“We’re not doing this to be cool,” says Habli. “We’ve been here a while and we’re connected to our community. We want to give our community the choice to enjoy craft beer”.

The Savor Growl will offer other conveniences, like the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, as well as home delivery. Visit facebook.com/savorgrowl or call 614-261-6112 for more information about the opening, to place orders, and to keep yourself updated about tap rotation.
