“hey ya’ll….we/roots are gonna be moving soon…to on-line only…we will still be present in the community w/ our roots live events & on occasion…pop ups & sales etc….” their Facebook post read. “your support over the years of our eclectic tastes in music from around the globe is very much appreciated.”

In its 20 years, Roots Records has been known to carry an array of different musical styles, specializing in reggae, soul, funk, hip hop and R&B, Latin, house, jazz, techno and electronic. In celebration of their 20th anniversary, all of their used records, CDs, hats and t-shirts have been 20 percent off. That discount will continue until their departure at the end of the month.
