Restaurants for Sale: Two Zen Chas, Japanese Steakhouse & More

Businesses regularly change ownership and management, and restaurants are no exception. A restaurant for sale by no means indicates that it is closing — but when a restaurant is listed for sale, it means an opportunity has arisen for a new small business owner to step into a new venture. To that end, we occasionally publish lists of restaurants currently for sale, to not only give readers an idea of where change is occurring, but also to share information with potential buyers who are looking to start their own business venture here in Columbus.

Here are three restaurant spaces newly listed for sale in Columbus:

Japanese Steak House (Downtown) — After 24 years in business, the owners of the Japanese Steak House are retiring and selling the restaurant at 479 North High Street. This old school hibachi grill restaurant is huge at 6,600 square feet and is in a very prime location sandwiched between The North Market and Convention Center. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS

Zen Cha Tea Salon (Gay Street) — We mentioned back in February that this location was listed as for sale on the Day Companies website, but additional details have been made available in an update. The 2000 square foot Gay Street business, which opened in 2012, is for sale due to the owners planning a relocation out of state. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS

Zen Cha Tea Salon (Short North) — The original Zen Cha is also for sale, which opened 14 years ago in 2002. The asking price for this location is a bit higher, but is touted as being a highly profitable turnkey restaurant for a new owner that wants to continue with the concept. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS

Additionally, several restaurant spaces listed in previous installations of this series continue to be marked as available for sale/lease, including:
