    G. Michael’s Bistro & Bar

The German Village restaurant has introduce a new seasonal menu, conceptualized by chef David Tetzloff.

The brand new bill of fare features small plates, summer entrees, seafood, and veggie-based dishes. Guests will find a variety of options, including fried green tomatoes with crab fondue and grilled corn salad; “Megan’s broiled chicken,” which comes with broiled eggplant, potato, zucchini, tomatoes, basil pesto and a goat cheese croquette; and a Raz-al Hanout roasted cauliflower with ratatouille, toasted almonds, red pepper-tomato coulis and falafel.

The restaurant’s so-called signature dish, shrimp & grits, is now accented with country ham, andouille sausage, and stone-ground yellow grits.

    Sweet Carrot

This weekend is a sales tax holiday all across Ohio. That means from Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 5, shoppers won’t have to pay sales tax on their purchases.

In celebration, local restaurant Sweet Carrot Polaris has concocted a sweet deal for guests who mention “Tax Free Day” during their visit on Friday, August 3. The first 50 people in the door will receive a free specialty entree. Every customer after that will get a $5-off coupon for the next time they spend $20 or more.

“Even with the tax exemption that day, parents will be shelling out a ton of money to get all the things they need to get ready for the new school year,” said Sweet Carrot CEO and Owner Angela Petro in a press release. “We wanted to give folks a great, modern casual meal, a chance to unwind from the shopping, while giving their credit cards a breather.”

Beer Barrel’s menu offers an array of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and three signature pizza styles, including thin & crispy, Beer Barrel deep dish, and the original Beer Barrel Style.
