House Beer/Bourbon & Barley Saloon
The Short North’s House Beer has rebranded. Now the Bourbon & Barley Saloon, the bar has a new focus on bourbon and craft beer flights and cocktails. The drink menus include up to 12 classic and modern cocktails, 80 beers and 20 bourbons.
Owner Tom Kincaid purchased House Beer in 2016, keeping the name primarily because it was recognizable to the neighborhood.
“As the neighborhood is changing and growing, it felt like the right time to make it our own and offer something new,” Kincaid says. “Looking at trends in the beverage industry, more people are trending toward bourbon and liquor so we decided to add them to provide more creative options and enhance the beer selection we already had.”
Bourbon & Barley Saloon will continue offering beer carry out. It opened under its new name on Oct. 6.
