Cherry Valley Lodge
The Cherry Valley Lodge is under new ownership. Acquired by Wexford Lodging Advisors and Widewaters Hotels, the lodge is set for a $13 million renovation. In partnership with the City of Newark, the company hopes to turn the space into a “premier group and leisure hotel.”
It’s starts with the conversion of the lodge’s waterpark, built in 2006, into “a 45,000-square-foot, first-class exhibition and event center.”
“We are very excited to announce the acquisition and repositioning of the Cherry Valley Lodge,” said John Rosen, president of Wexford Lodging Advisors, in a press release. “We look forward to converting the water park to premium event space, renovating the hotel and bringing the Cherry Valley Lodge back to its former position as a leading destination for meetings, events, groups and leisure travelers. The hotel means so much to this area.”
