Today, local record company, Old 3C Records will hold a concert of Old 3C artists to benefit the Clintonville Community Resources Center for a new place to do business. The show, presented by Old 3C Records will start in time for Saturday happy hour at 5:00 PM at Ace of Cups. Old 3C Records describes themselves as “a label devoted the indie-rock sounds of Ohio + the greater Midwest and beyond, both past and present”. The name stems from “the name of Ohio’s state route that used to connect Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati prior to the now truck-infested interstates”.
Paul Nini, an Old 3C recording artist (from the band Log), is a Clintonville resident and says he loves what the organization does for the community. Old 3C has been in existence since Log first dropped the album, Auto Fire Life, in 1999. Artists included on the label Psandwich, Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments, and The Mealworms.
Performances starting at 5:00 include: Ron House, Alyosha Het and Closet Mix. The music continues at 8:45, with performances by Beetkeepers, Randall Douglas Matson, Stark Folk, Chris Forbes, Keith Hanlon + Parker Paul of Orchestraville and Log closes out the night.
Come out and support a local music label, which is supporting a local organization to continue to do great things around the community.
