Local developer Crawford Hoying has begun marketing activities for The Lane, their five-story mixed-use development in Upper Arlington. The building is part of a new Lane Avenue corridor that includes a Homewood Suites hotel. Both buildings are currently under construction with completion scheduled for this fall.

Floorplans and pricing have been released for the 108 apartment units in The Lane, which are now available for pre-leasing. The project will feature one-bedroom units in the 600 square feet range, two-bedroom units of around a 1,000 square feet, and three-bedroom units with over 1,300 square feet of space. Prices will range from $964 to $2,179 per month.

Stephen Brothers-McGrew, Marketing Manager for Crawford Hoying, says they have high expectations for filling the apartments quickly.

“Interest has been promising despite no real advertising, to date,” he says. “The official pre-leasing period starts this week, with ads to begin appearing in various media outlets throughout the month.”

Office space is planned for the second-floor of the building, while Crawford Hoying hopes to fill the first floor with restaurant and retail uses. Those efforts appear to be advancing nicely, as restauranteur Cameron Mitchell just announced plans to develop a new restaurant concept that will fill nearly half of the available space.

An attached parking garage will provide over 300 parking spots for the building.
