PNC announced today that their PNC Foundation would be contributing another $1 million dollars to their Arts Alive program to extend funding to Central Ohio arts organizations for another four years.

The program was launched in 2010 and has provided 39 local grants totaling a $1.5 million contribution to the Central Ohio arts community.

“Through the first years of PNC Arts Alive grant programming, we have seen organizations increase audiences, create new collaborations and partnerships, lower the barriers to participation and achieve direct business benefits that enhanced their sustainability,” said Michael Gonsiorowski, PNC Bank regional president for central Ohio. “By extending PNC Arts Alive, we will continue to build upon this positive momentum, support new and imaginative arts programs that enrich our community and will help strengthen our local economy.”

PNC will be accepting grant proposals for $20,000 or more from qualified arts organizations between January 15 and February 15, with the next round of grants to be announced in June 2013.
