PM Gallery Relocating to Former Attic Location

The oldest continually operating art gallery and retail store in the Short North is getting ready for a big change. The PM Gallery wrapped up their final gallery hop yesterday and will be relocating up the street to 1190 North High Street, formerly home to The Attic, which recently closed.

We reported on the eventual closing of PM Gallery back in May, but the plan to relocate was not quite finalized at the time. The new store will be roughly the same size, though owner Maria Galloway is working to clean out old inventory and make room for new products.

“Our main focus – the work of American artists and artisans – will stay the same,” she explained. “We will be focusing more on our own work and on local craftspeople. We will also be doing more exhibitions, and plan to have an area for Garden Theater/Short North Stage related items.”

The relocation toward the northern end of the Short North continues the trend of retail activity closer to 5th Avenue. PM Gallery will be joining neighbors Rivet, What The Rock?!, Fringe Boutique, Royal Factory, Bella Boutique the coming-soon Out of the Closet and several other existing shops.

“Our timeline is still a bit squishy,” said owner Maria Galloway. “Work needs to be done in the new space, but optimistically we hope to be open for the August Hop in some form.”
