Pizza Cucinova Celebrates Opening of Second Location with Free Pizza Day

Last Fall, Columbus welcomed Pizza Cucinova to the Easton area. Located at 4044 Morse Crossing, Pizza Cucinova offered customers a taste of authentic Neopolitan style pizza in a variety of taste and topping combinations.

On February 21st, Pizza Cucinova opened a second store, due to positive and enthusiastic the reaction to the first. The new branch sits at 1187 Olentangy River Road, at the corner of Third Avenue and Olentangy River Road, adjacent to the recently-opened Columbus Miller Ale House.

Neopolitan pizza making is defined by wood fire and hot temperatures. The pies at Pizza Cucinova are cooked in a wood stone oven that gets up to 700ºF, resulting in a perfectly cooked product in under three minutes.

Pizza Cucinova also offers up to 40 gourmet toppings, including imported prosciutto, San Marzano tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and gorgonzola cheese. They feature 10 specialty pizzas as well, like Caponata with eggplant and fontina, and Clam & Shrimp finished with grape tomatoes and roasted garlic.

“Consumers know what great pizza tastes like but they haven’t been able to get it for a price they want to pay,” shares David Karam, CEO of Sbarro LLC — Pizza Cucinova’s parent company. “We’ve created this restaurant so that consumers can have great, traditional Neopolitan pizzas. We fire it at extremely high temperatures, so now they can get it much faster.”

Customers can have their own Neopolitan experience on Wednesday, April 9th, when Pizza Cucinova celebrates the opening of its second eatery with a Free Pizza Day. Any diner who likes the company’s facebook page, and can prove it on their phone or with a printout, gets a free pizza that day.

And it’s not just a basic cheese pie. Guests will be able to line up at an artisan work station where their pizza artist will hand stretch their dough before applying the diner’s choice of sauces and toppings. Or they can choose one of the specialty pizzas on the board.

Pizza Cucinova also serves salads, baked-fresh-daily, house-made cheesecake, craft beers, and wine. Pies there start at a generous $7. A third Pizza Cucinova restaurant is currently under construction at Kenwood City Place in the Cincinnati area.

Free Pizza Day runs from 11am – 10pm on April 9th only. For more on Pizza Cucinova, or to like their page, visit www.facebook.com/PizzaCucinova.
