British hit factory and guitar-rocking four-piece The Kooks made a long awaited return to Columbus on Saturday night. They completed their rescheduled show in front of a largely young and highly enthusiastic crowd at a sold out Newport Music Hall.
Recent CD102.5 favorite “Four Leaf Clover” and a few other cuts from the bands fifth album Let’s Go Sunshine were also given a chance to shine, before the bands ended the evening with their biggest hit, “Naive.”
Fellow Brit Barns Courtney opened the evening with an almost show-stealing performance as he and his band dominated the stage with a high energy set of jump-along songs that have been recently popping up all over TV, video games, streaming sites and basically anywhere else your ears may be listening.
