Photos: Queen with Adam Lambert
British rock band Queen are once again finding themselves in the popular spotlight, thanks to last years “Bohemian Rhapsody” movie, and the band, along with Adam Lambert, stopped by Columbus on Tuesday night to bring a celebration of classic rock to Nationwide Arena.
Original members, Brian May and Roger Taylor — both now in their 70s — rolled back the years to deliver classic cuts from a back catalog that’s packed full of the hits that made Queen one of the greatest bands of their era.
Adam Lambert, who is quick to acknowledge he’s not Freddie Mercury, brought his own outlandish visual style to the stage while handling the challenging vocal duties with a playful joy.
Mercury has been gone for almost 30 years, yet for the music of Queen, the show continues to go on.
