Alt-rock pioneers Jane’s Addiction came to Columbus on yet another rain soaked night as the veterans of guitar-funk-punk brought their unique sound to the indoor LC stage.
Still going strong after a patchy 30 year stretch, the band currently consists of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney.
Despite a delayed start and an incredibly irritating tribal-bongo-drum track that threatened to never end, the L.A. band strolled onto the stage looking fresh and as energetic as ever. Farrell looked fashionably commanding and Navarro continues to look like a rock ‘n roll action-man doll that stopped aging sometime in the ’90s. It was all pretty much what the LC crowd had come to see.
Opening for Jane’s Addiction were fellow L.A. noise-merchants Failure.
