The Columbus IKEA store is slated to open on Wednesday, June 7, and members of the media were invited to tour the completed space this week for a first look inside. The journey to opening has been two and a half years in the making after the store was formally announced in January 2015 and ground was officially broken in May 2016.
Once open, the 354,000 square foot store will be home to over 10,000 individual items for sale across 50 room-settings in the store’s unique layout. Of course, the store also includes a 450-seat restaurant serving up the company’s signature Swedish dishes — meatball, lingonberries and more.
