Photos: Catfish and the Bottlemen at Express Live!
Welsh four-piece Catfish and the Bottlemen brought their stadium-sized anthemic indie-rock to a packed Express Live! on Tuesday evening. A mostly young and female crowd happily danced and screamed back the lyrics as Van McCann and friends pulled out the best bits from their two previous albums.
Local rockers The Worn Flints opened the show with their usual blend of garage rock and over-the-top facial expressions. The band also added a few new on-stage members to fill out the sound for several of their newer and more layered songs. The second half of The Worn Flints set saw them drop back to a three-piece, kick up the energy, and fall back into the stage-dominating rock spectacle they’ve become known for.
Catfish and the Bottlemen’s third studio album, The Balance is out on April 26, while The Worn Flints newest album, Gloria Avenue is available now.
