Meatball-centric concept Palle by Moretti has closed its doors in Fifth by Northwest, but the space likely won’t be empty for long.

Palle opened at the View on Fifth, 1021 W. Fifth Ave., in August 2016, taking classic Italian eatery Moretti’s into fast-casual territory. After roughly three and a half years, Palle has called it quits to make way for a new concept.

A sign posted on the restaurant’s door announced the changes.

To our valued guest, it is with heavy heart to announce Palle by Moretti is closing its doors. It has been a pleasure serving all of you.

The Moretti family put their heart and soul into this location to bring you delicious, modern Italian food that the Moretti family have been serving central Ohio for over 60 years.

We are excited to announce that we will be re-opening this location for a new concept better suited for this location.

Details on the new concept are still under wraps. According to the sign, those looking for Italian fare in the interim can head to Moretti’s of Arlington, 2124 Tremont Center in Upper Arlington.
