New Albany and Gahanna residents now have the same high-quality fitness and yoga classes that residents of Dublin have enjoyed for years from PAI Yoga and Fitness.
Over two years in the making, PAI in Gahanna has facilities for spinning, barre, TRX, and yoga in a large space designed by PAI owners, Chan Hemintranont and Mike Ludwig.
“It was a long time coming,” says Hemintranout, co-owner and yoga instructor at PAI.
Entering 5576 North Hamilton Road (in the strip of stores behind AutoZone), a nice lobby with lots of cubby holes awaits PAI clients. “We learned a lot along the way.” This PAI is much larger than the Dublin facility and has everything under one roof.
The TRX/barre room is very large. There are huge mirrors for barre, and the shiny new TRX gear just begs to be used. The yoga room is gigantic compared to PAI in Dublin, and it has a warmly textured floor. There are several windows well above eye level that let in natural light. The yoga studio also has an excellent heating system and well above average audio. Fans of spinning will love the set up for bikes.
And this PAI has showers! There is one inside each of the large restrooms for men and women; each bathroom is big enough room for several people to change clothes in, too. Also, a big improvement over the Dublin studio, the restrooms are not inside the yoga studio, so you can do your business before heading into the various classrooms.
The PAI staff has worked hard to make a warm, welcoming studio to supply a variety of fitness classes for their clients. Names for a peaceful Thai village that Hemintranout visited in 2007 while on a business trip, PAI not only is about the “go” in fitness, but about becoming a calmer individual.
PAI offers many classes already at the new location and has plans to add more.
“We really thank our customers for their patience waiting for the opening day,” says Hemintranout.
Well worth the wait!
