A new bar opened its doors in Olde Towne East on Wednesday, May 23. The Oracle, an intimate space with live music and craft cocktails, sits just down the road from its sister bar, Yellow Brick Pizza. Located at 1159 E. Oak St., it occupies the building that used to house L’Appat Pattiserie & Cafe.

In its tight quarters, The Oracle has established three distinct spaces, including the main bar area, a separate room for live music performances, and a patio. The main bar offers mostly standing room, but patrons can find a few seats at the bar and a couple of high tops. Live entertainment takes place in what looks and feels like a living room. Rather than high tops, a comfy couch offers a few precious seats, accented by an area rug, side table, and retro curtains.

Meanwhile, the patio looks to be a work in progress; no tables or seats are available outside.

While there’s not much room for a kitchen, The Oracle has space out front for food trucks. On tap are just a few brews, but the menu above suggests their specialties are craft cocktails and high-end spirits.

The Oracle has no website or Facebook page. It’s also tricky to find, as entering its address won’t take you anywhere in Ohio. It’s recommended to enter a different Oak Street address and navigate from there.
