The two restaurants that were the flagships of Oodles Noodle and Dumpling Co. — the would-be chain started by Dae Oh in August 2006 — have been sold to Lucy Lin, a restaurant owner and real-estate agent in Columbus.

“Everything in Oodles will be homemade; we will provide quality and freshness,” Lin said last week. “We will create some new items from the traditional range of food.”

By summer, she hopes to offer in-store diners the chance to cook their own meals in the hot-pot, or shabu-shabu, style. “It is a very popular meal in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and I will bring this culture to the U.S.,” Lin said.

She expects the restaurant at 765 Neil Ave. to reopen within a week, and the one at 443 E. Main St. about two weeks later.
