While One Line Coffee re-opened both their original Short North shop and their newer Franklinton location last Friday, one spot did not make the re-opening list. The Downtown cafe housed inside the Huntington Center was announced as closing permanently.

“We are so grateful for our five years in the building — so many good memories, great coffee and even better relationships,” stated the owners through an Instagram post on May 7. “To everyone who helped to make this place special, thank you. We will miss you.”

The Downtown location for One Line opened in March 2015, serving Capitol Square workers looking for an alternative to Starbucks and other chains. A message posted on the One Line website stated that with office workers continuing to work from home and an expiring retail lease, it did not make financial sense to continue operating this location at this point in time.
