Ohio Brewing Opening Production Facility and Taproom in Milo-Grogan
Another Cleveland-based brewery is expanding to Columbus. Ohio Brewing Company, first opening in Cuyahoga Falls this summer, will establish a local production brewery and taproom in Milo-Grogan by fall.
The new facility will take over a former warehouse located at 421 E. Second Ave. Built in 1930, the building was previously inhabited by Blue Box Corrugated Inc, offers roughly 37,000 square feet of space, and sits on nearly four acres of land. According to an article on Ohio.Com, Ohio Brewing will partner with the Velio family to open the brewery and taproom. The Velios have opened a number of other Columbus restaurants, including the Jimmy V’s chain and Michael’s Goody Boy in the Short North.
Ohio Brewing Company is a microbrewery offering nine flagship brews that include a variety of styles: the Alt-ernative Amber Ale, Buckeye Blonde Belgian Wit Ale, Cardinal Irish Red Ale, Double Irish Red Ale, Jingle Bell Ale, O’Hoppy IPA, Ohiofest, an Oktoberfest-style beer, Twice Bitten Imperial Red Ale, and Verich Gold, a Kolsch-style ale.
