“We are forever grateful for the amazing customers who we now call our friends, and the Short North community that welcomed us with open arms, that we now consider our family,” the post reads. “We are deeply saddened to say goodbye. Please stop in over the next few weeks and keep an eye on our social media for updates.”

Oats & Barley opened at 970 N. High St. in August of 2016, offering organic groceries, fresh produce, prepared foods, wine and beer, and other healthy products. In March of 2017, former pop-up Simple Rolled Ice Cream established a permanent home within the market. According to Oats & Barley manager Emily Griffith, Simply Rolled will remain in their current space at the south end of the market.

“That’s still up in the air, what this space is going to look like,” Griffith says, “but [Simply Rolled] is remaining there.”

As part of their closeout, Oats & Barley is offering 20 percent off of every item in the store, with the exception of alcohol.
