    Oak Studio Opens in Gahanna

“We kept thinking, ‘We would like this’ or ‘I wish a yoga studio had that,'” says Holly Oak, co-owner of Oak Studio in Gahanna. “Now we have made it all come true.”

Oak, who with her sister, Jenny, is opening Oak Studio at the corner of Cherry Bottom and Morse Road in Gahanna this week. To celebrate their opening they are offering free yoga Friday thru Sunday, November 9-11, two weeks of unlimited classes for $22, and offering 20 percent off all their packages thru November 16, 2018.

“We both live in Gahanna and have done yoga and fitness around town,” said Jenny. “I really missed CorePower in Easton when it closed.”

Holly agreed, “I kept wishing there was boot camp yoga and the like out here in Gahanna, so we made it!”

Fit. Bend. Sculpt. These are themes at Oak Studio. Holly and Jenny have equipped their studio with yoga mats, blocks, a range of free weights, and a basket of sliders for a variety of body-sculpting classes.

“There are lots of good moves you can do with weights and sliders,” said Oak. “They are great for core strengthening. We put up mirrors in our studio so people could check their exercise form.”

The Oak sisters will lead many of the classes offered at their studio, and they have also recruited almost a dozen local teachers to lead a variety of other classes.

Oak Studio is 2,400 square feet with a generous lobby area and exercise space. There are also two bathrooms, one with a shower.

“We both realized there is a need for private changing spaces and a shower for many professionals,” says Holly. “We were fortunate to find a space with plumbing for two baths.” The studio will also offer free tea and other beverages.

Free yoga will be available at Oak Studio November 9 – 11.
