For fans of popular lunch and dinner spot Northstar Café, there’s good news: a fourth store is set to open in 2014. In the nine years since the launch of the first restaurant in the Short North, two other locations have opened. One in Beechwold at 4241 North High Street, and the other at Easton Town Center.

The fourth eatery will be located in Uptown Westerville. Final address details are not currently available as the city of Westerville still technically owns the lot where Kevin Malhame, founder of Northstar Café, hopes to build.

But the city, and community, has been very receptive to Northstar’s proposed launch. Residents approved a liquor license for the site on the November ballot, and with permissions secured for the sale of beer, wine, and cocktails, it’s only a matter of time before all the documents needed to secure the spot will be in hand.

“Everything is a bit tentative now as we wait for the city and the permits we need,” shares Malhame. “They have been very supportive though, and we hope to get everything finalized in the next six months so we can begin construction.”

Northstar Café’s flagship restaurant is located at 951 North High Street. We will continue to share details of this project as they become available.
