Northside Library Branch Reaches Construction Milestone

The new Columbus Metropolitan Library Northside Branch is officially “topping out” its construction tomorrow, celebrating a milestone in working toward the reopening of the busy library location at 1423 North High Street. Construction began back in March, with a targeted completion scheduled for late spring or early summer of 2017.

Once completed, the new 24,900 square foot building will replace the former 7,700 square foot library, expanding its size and its ability to offer modern amenities to customers. The new Northside Branch is just one of 10 local library buildings undergoing renovation or replacement, which also includes the Main Library Downtown, the Whitehall Branch, the Driving Park Branch, and several others to be completed by 2020.
