Nonstop Flights from Columbus to Austin Added to Allegiant, Frontier Airlines
Columbus can now add Austin as yet another city offering nonstop flights to airline passengers.
Allegiant will offer nonstop flights to the “Live Music Capital of the World” starting Feb. 16 from Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), while Frontier begins its service April 8 from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH).
With the new flights offered by Frontier and Allegiant, Columbus airports will now offer passengers “nearly 160 daily departures to 43 destinations.”
Joseph R. Nardone, president and CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which operates both Rickenbacker and CMH, thanked Allegiant and Frontier Airlines for supplying this service.
“Austin was one of our community’s most in-demand destinations for nonstop flights. We are very pleased Allegiant and Frontier established this service to connect our two vibrant state capitals,” said Nardone.
Allegiant flights will run Mondays and Fridays from Rickbacker to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), and Frontier flights will run Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from CMH to AUS.
