The Canal Market District officially launched in Downtown Newark yesterday with a dedication event that included live music, food trucks and plenty of local beer and wine to help celebrate the arrival of the city’s new Downtown space. The facility represents a $5 million investment into the center of Newark that will provide residents and visitors with a new venue that can host very large farmers market and vendor market events.
The first farmers market event of the season will take place on Friday, June 3rd, and will operate every Tuesday and Friday from 4pm to 7pm through October 28th.
