Recent weeks have seen an inevitably loud game of “I’ve Known About Him for Years” – every snobbish comedy nerd’s favorite pastime. This quickly occurs whenever a seemingly-new comedian experiences a breakout in a mainstream show or movie.
The star comedian in the current spotlight is Zach Galifianakis – the longtime indie standup darling that stole the show in this Summer’s surprise blockbuster, The Hangover.
Well, there’s no need to brag about who saw him first, folks. Whether you just learned about him or you’ve been a fan for years, you can enjoy his unique comedic sensibility just the same in another delightfully wacked out role tonight at 8:00 p.m. as Wild Goose Creatative hosts a screening of Visioneers.
The film tells the story of a man named George Washington Winsterhammerman living in the near future and trying to come to terms with the fact that an epidemic of spontaneous human combustion is taking over the planet. The film has screened at multiple film festivals, including Seattle International and Austin, and was the winner of the CineVegas International Film Festival Audience Award.
The film screening is only five dollars to attend and will take place at the home of Wild Goose Creative: 2491 Summit Street, Columbus, OH 43202.
