New Renderings Released for 15th and High
New renderings released today by Campus Partners give the best idea yet of what Pearl Alley between 14th and 16th Avenues will look like after the multifaceted 15th and High project is complete.
The images show three five-story buildings, one overlooking University Square – the public plaza planned as the centerpiece of the development – and the other two extending south from 15th Avenue. Those buildings would sit on either side of a new, pedestrian-scaled street connecting North High Street and Pearl Alley.
Although the High Street side of the buildings are not shown, a press release promises “high quality materials such as brick, limestone and granite on all four sides.”
Construction is expected to begin in 2019 on the new buildings, which will offer about 250,000 square feet of office space over ground floor retail. The retail storefronts will wrap the buildings, offering roughly 50,000 square feet of space.
“Campus Partners is excited to share our vision for this once-in-a-generation opportunity,” said Amanda Hoffsis, Campus Partners president, in a statement. “The renderings provide a glimpse of the reimagining of this critical intersection.”
The release of the new designs follows last month’s unveiling of WOSU’s new headquarters, which will sit at the northeast corner of 14th Avenue and Pearl Alley. The design of each of the proposed buildings will require approval by the University Impact District Review Board before construction can start.
