New Renderings and Plans Revealed for Hoster Brewery Redevelopment

The ongoing redevelopment of the historic Hoster Brewery Complex has a new website, a new name, and a new estimate for when the project will be completed.

Now called Front & Fulton, the Brewery District development will be finished some time in the second half of 2023, according to Dwight McCabe, Principal at McCabe Companies.

McCabe Companies is developing the project along with Stage Capital Partners.

A boutique hotel is no longer planned for the site – the current program calls for 150,000 square feet of office space, 25,000 square feet of event space, 40 residential lofts, an assortment of restaurants and bars, and a new parking garage with space for about 350 cars.

McCabe said that the entire project will be completed in a single phase. An earlier plan for the site called for breaking it up into two different phases, with the buildings on the eastern half of the site being developed first (the block bordered by West Fulton Street, South Front Street, Brewers Alley and South Ludlow Street) and the western buildings coming later.

Just to the north of the site, work is scheduled to start this winter on the next phase of the I-70/71 split project, including a new highway ramp and improvements to Fulton Street and Livingston Avenue. A new Front Street bridge that will span the freeway between the Brewery District and Downtown is also part of the project. The new bridge will feature landscaped sidewalks and a park-like walkway on one side.

The Front & Fulton website went live earlier this summer, showcasing new interior and exterior renderings of the complex.

Colliers International is handling leasing for the development, which was awarded state historic preservation tax credits in 2019.
