New Convenience Store Opening in The Arena District
The Arena District is home to hundreds of residents, thousands of office workers and tens of thousands of guests who visit for the variety of entertainment options that exist in the area. One key amenity missing in the area is a simple convenience store. That is scheduled to change this summer with the opening of Nelson’s Convenience Store at 155 West Nationwide Boulevard (the building that also houses Rodizio Grill), right in the middle of the district.
“The addition of Nelson’s Convenience Store is a sign of maturity for the Arena District,” said Brian Ellis, President & COO of Nationwide Realty Investors, the developer of The Arena District. “With more than six million annual visitors, 17,000 full and part-time employees and nearly 900 residents already in the District, Nelson’s will play an important role as a highly valued amenity for our workers, residents and guests.”
Nelson’s is a small operation with only one other shop, currently located inside the nearby Nationwide corporate headquarters. The new shop will take up 1,300 square feet of space, selling drinks, snacks, beer, wine, greeting over-the-counter medication, gifts and other items.
“With a strong professional work force and significant daytime and evening population, the Arena District is a very desirable location,” said Vipin Patel, owner of Nelson’s Convenience Store. “We are excited to be opening in such a dynamic and energy filled environment.”
Once open, Nelson’s will operate seven days a week from 8am to 8pm.
