Due Amici has hosted a popular weekend brunch for years, but there’s some changes afoot this weekend. The restaurant is launching a new menu, crowned with a new Breakfast Pizza.
“We were looking for a change, and looking for more true breakfast items to add to the menu,” said Due Amici Owner Jeff Mathes. “This pizza was completely the creation of sous chef Drew Dimitrovski.”
This $13 12-inch hangover cure is topped with hash brown cubes, bacon crumbles, a blend of provolone and mozzarella cheeses, sausage gravy made with Due’s house-made italian sausage and a fried egg. The pizza crust is also brushed with bacon fat.
“The eggs and the pork for the sausage are both Ohio products too,” said Due Amici Executive Chef Mike Black. “We’re quite fond of this new pizza.”
Due Amici’s brunch menu is offered every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
