Most voters OK with a tax increase
Posted by Catherine Candisky, Statehouse reporterA majority of Ohioans favor a tax increase to avoid severe cuts in state services, according to a new poll released today. According to the survey, 57 percent of Ohioans favor a state budget proposal that “would roll back some recent cuts in state income taxes, increase income taxes on those with incomes over $200,000, and increase some business taxes to avoid services cuts.” Forty-one percent opposed the proposal.
