Community members and Columbus Foundation donors celebrated #GivingTuesday this year by donating more than $1 million to local nonprofits in the central Ohio region!

#GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back, falls on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely-recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Collectively, the Columbus community raised $1,119,848 for 545 local nonprofits through The Columbus Foundation’s “Give Two on #GivingTuesday” promotion. Anyone who donated to two or more nonprofit organizations or Better Together projects listed in The Giving Store will soon be receiving a $20 Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Card, redeemable at any of the 1,000+ organizations listed in The Giving Store, as a thanks for their generosity.

As The Columbus Foundation expressed, “We are blown away by the generosity of everyone who supported our community’s nonprofits through Give Two on #GivingTuesday! From the arts to animals, to social services and housing—your support for the many nonprofits in our community is simply incredible. Thank you!”

Better TogetherThe Columbus Foundation‘s crowdfunding platform, rallies individuals to work together to bring out the best in our community!
