More new condos are on the way in Olde Towne East. Nineteen units are scheduled to be completed by July of this year at the corner of Oak Street and South Ohio Avenue.

The units are being developed by Gallas Zadeh Development and Mulberry, the same team behind a 15-unit project just down the street at the corner of Bryden Road. Mulberry also has a number of ongoing projects in the Short North.

The new project, which is being called The Morgan, will occupy the two empty lots on either side of Ohio Avenue, on the north side of Oak Street. One of those lots, on the west side of Ohio, once held a two-story building that was slated for renovation but had to be demolished after partially collapsing.

“We’re excited to bring more residential units on line in Olde Towne as people continue to become aware of just how exciting the neighborhood is,” said Principal Mark Inks of Mulberry, in a statement.

Prices for the new condos will start at $379,000 and go up from there depending on finish level. They range in size from 1,300 to 1,800 square feet and will each be eligible for a 15-year tax abatement. Each unit will have at least one parking space, either in a garage or in an off-street parking lot accessed via Agate Alley.
