More Gay Street Condos to Break Ground in 2015

With the latest batch of condo units rapidly selling out prior to their completion, the Neighborhood Launch development in Downtown Columbus may see even more ground breaking this spring to continue that trend. Eclipse Real Estate Group President Kim Ulle informed us that a new row of 14 for-sale townhomes are planned behind The Welsh, mid-block between Sixth Street and Milton Alley.

“We’re working on some drawings to be able to start those new condos around the end of the 1st quarter of 2015,” she stated. “The style will be a little different than our other condos in the area, and that will carry through to the parking lot behind The Normandy, which will be used for parking for awhile, but will eventually be filled in with the same kind of townhomes.”

A larger five-story residential building is still planned immediately south of the new townhomes at the intersection of Sixth Street and Gay Street. That building has been long-planned, but no definitive timeline was announced for that portion of the master plan.
