Indie rock icons Modest Mouse returned to Columbus on Friday night to play the final outdoor show of the LC Pavilion’s season.

Led by guitarist/singer Isaac Brock, the eight-piece packed the stage with an overabundance of instruments, amps and various other bits and pieces which led to produce the layers of sound that make up Modest Mouse’s music that the rather chilly looking crowd lapped up.

The band are currently touring their sixth release, “Strangers to Ourselves” but as expected it was older hits such as “Missed the Boat” and mainstream favorite “Float On” that got the loudest response from those huddled for warmth on the lawn.
