When a restaurant with a half-century of tradition and a loyal following changes hands, patrons might become nervous.
But as the new owners of the Top Steak House have taken charge during the past 10 months, the menu has remained essentially the same.
“Why mess with over 50 years of success?” principal owner Craig Hoover asks.
Some details, however, have been tweaked: The slices of spiced apple are no more. A few designer greens have invaded the all-iceberg territory of the house salad, which is no longer served in a lettuce cup.
