Chris Crader, Grow CEO, has recently signed a restaurant lease with real estate firm Capitol Equities for 995 N. Fourth Street, at the intersection of Third Avenue and Fourth Street. The end cap space includes a patio that will overlook Fourth, along with a spacious adjacent parking lot.

The Italian Village redevelopment project will take place in a historic brick carriage house merged with a newer warehouse structure. The restaurant will take up 3,100 square feet of the nearly 12,300 square foot development. The remainder of the space will go towards retail development, with 3,400 square feet available for a second restaurant space.

“We are excited to join the Italian Village, and to be in a historic carriage house is perfect for us,” said Crader. “If you look at our restaurants, we care about creating a unique style and design, and I think this project will be a great fit.”

The new restaurant (name to be determined), will serve fresh Mexican cuisine with a focus on local sourcing. The menu will be spearheaded by Chef Silas Caeton, a veteran of Rigsbys and Veritas and former resident of Mexico City.

A 60-car parking lot will sit adjacent to the restaurant, providing easy access for downtown workers venturing out for lunch breaks or happy hour.

Renovation will begin this month, with an opening tentatively slated for late fall.
