Merion Village Apartments Offering Complimentary Bike Share Memberships

On Friday, local developer CASTO announced a unique partnership with the local CoGo bike share system that would entitle all apartment residents of The Barrett to complimentary bike share memberships. Residents at the new Merion Village apartments will have easy access to the system, granted by the installation of a new station being installed at the nearby intersection of Thurman Avenue and Bruck Street.

“We see this as an opportunity to connect residents of The Barrett to surrounding neighborhoods, and a way to advocate for alternative transportation methods available in Columbus,” said Hilary Deason, CASTO’s Marketing & Communications Specialist. “Our residents can hop on a CoGo and be at Stauf’s on Third in minutes, or ride to a station and take COTA’s Cbus to the Short North or Downtown.”

The new Merion Village CoGo station is one of five new ones being installed, which will help expand the boundaries of the system.

New apartments at The Barrett are expecting to come online next month, which will feature a total of 51 adaptive-reuse apartments inside the former middle school building, and another 52 new townhouse-style apartments located on the property. The project also includes 22 single family homes for sale.
