Melt Expands to Melt House of Fitness

“We lucked out!” Meredith Mundell, Director of Marketing and Instructor Development at Melt House of Fitness. “We had been maxing out our wait lists, and our students wanted more of us. Now, with this new space we are happy to get more of our members in to our in-person classes.”

The expansion into a former window warehouse will give Melt approximately 2,500 square feet of floor space for lifting and other fitness classes. The new space has ceilings over twenty feet high and three large garage doors. “We will be able to open those for lots of fresh air!” says Mundell.

Melt House of Fitness is known for its hot, dark and loud workouts. They have a variety of classes including yoga, dance and barre which will stay in the current location. The new space is the “Melt Garage” across the parking from the current building at 106 E. College Avenue in Westerville.

“It’s a huge, open space for our spinning, dance fusion, core strength and lifting classes.”

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Melt created some online classes, but they are not as popular as the in-person classes. “While we still have some online classes, we found that our members really want to be in group classes,” says Mundell. “We do have some instructors who offer private lessons, but our focus is the group energy.”

Melt is following the recommendations from the governor’s task force for gyms. They require masks in the lobby and when moving around the studio. Classes are all socially distanced.

“We are dedicated to making a safe space for our members,” says Mundell.

The grand opening of the Melt Garage is 6pm Friday, September 18, 2020 with a special cycle class and a party with DJ Aray. All class packages will be 20% off during the opening weekend. Melt House of Fitness campus is located at 106 East College Avenue, Westerville.

With cardio, core and more, Melt House of Fitness has everything you need for your fitness routine under one roof.
