    Mega Weekend Winter 2016 – Vol. 5

    The Final Weekend of 2016. Ready to kick it to the curb? Only a few tickets remain to our New Year’s Eve party at Balboa.  The holiday light displays end this weekend, so take a stroll to check them out. The Best of 2016 has been announced. Thanks for all of your support and readership over the past year and we look forward to what 2017 brings.

    Thursday
    It’s the final weekend to see the Leap Before You Look: Black Mountain College exhibit at the Wexner Center, it closes Sunday. The Apartment shows at the Gateway Film Center as their final Holiday Classics movie. Merry & Bright stays open late at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Councilmember Stinziano has community hours. It’s a Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour at Hills Market Downtown. The Randys perform at the Refectory. Paint your pet’s portrait. Jazz Arts Group invites you to Swingin’ in the New Year with Byron Stripling. Holiday Hoopla has its final performances this weekend. The Comedy Death Spot is at Zeno’s.

    Friday
    Tickets for Patton Oswalt’s February concert go on sale Friday. It’s the final day to see the Poindexter Village: A Portrait in Stories exhibit at Columbus Historical Society at COSI before they close and move to a new location. Make sure to experience the Chinese Lantern Festival. Try 10 wines at Camelot Cellars. Signature Winery invites you to A Taste of Africa. Attend Star Wars Burlesque – Tease Awakens at Bossy Grrls Pin Up Joint. Laser Beam VI is doing a pre-NYE party at Ace of Cups. Two days of NYE parties are happening at Axis and begin on Friday. If you want to do Yoga at The Arnold, Saturday is the deadline to apply.

    Saturday – New Year’s Eve
    Hoot returns to Gateway Film Center with a clocks theme. Go on a Short North Food Tour. Lots of NYE parties are happening! Here’s some to consider: the CU party at Balboa. Lineage Brewing is hosting a Forget You 2016. O-GEE has a special NYE event at Copious. An anime party at Gotcha Gachapon. Enjoy a take on the American Classics for New Year’s Eve by Chef Bill Glover at Gallerie Bar & Bistro. John Morgan is at the Funny Bone. Do charity yoga. First Night Columbus is back at COSI. BBR’s got the official WNCI Morning Zoo NYE Party. Celebrate at Double Comfort. It’s a Big Bang NYE. Dine at Due Amici. CD102.5fm’s Big Room Bar hosts Playing To Vapors, The Cordial Sins, Marcus Alan Ward for NYE. Check out the new Platform Brewing Co for NYE. There’s a disco happening at The Bottle Shop. Dahlia hosts a NYE Spectacular. Party at A&R Music Bar. Celebrate with Future Modern at Brothers Drake. Ring in the new year at the Hyatt Regency. Shadowbox Live has a special party for NYE. New Thousand plays Woodland’s Tavern. Go to an old Hollywood masquerade ball at Camelot Cellars. Enjoy an open bar at the Sheraton. Hubbard Grille has a special menu.     Enjoy a new year. Ghibli at GFC begins with Spirited Away. Bodega has another Toast & Jams. Cult 101 also begins at the Gateway Film Center with Blade Runner. The Chinese Lantern Festival closes on Monday.
