Greg Davies has been announced as Ginther’s new Chief of Staff. Davies is currently the city’s Director of the Department of Public Utilities, and previously served as Chief of Staff under Mayor Michael Coleman.

“Greg brings a breadth of experience to the chief of staff position that will be essential in the first days of my administration and beyond,” said Ginther. “Greg has led a major city department and understands the demands of the mayor’s office. I am fortunate to have someone of his caliber who I can trust to help lead the City.”

Ken Paul has been announced as the new Deputy Chief of Staff. Paul previously served as Chief of Staff to Council President Ginther, and is overseeing the ongoing transition effort for the Mayor-Elect.

“Ken has gained a broad range of experience in his service to Council and to the residents of Columbus,” said Ginther. “I am grateful for his hard work during the transition, and that he will continue to serve as a trusted member of my executive leadership team.”

Ginther announced that he would be retaining Nichole Brandon as Director of the Department of Human Resources and Amy DeLong as the Executive Director of the Civil Service Commission, both of which currently serve in those positions.

“Nichole and Amy are exemplary civil servants who bring a wealth of experience and professionalism to the City,” said Ginther. “I look forward to working with them to ensure our residents are served by the most qualified, well trained and professional workforce possible.”

Ginther is expected to name additional cabinet positions and leadership roles through the next several weeks.
