    Loops Restaurant Launches Food Truck

In a city littered with sandwich shops, it’s sometimes difficult to do something different or to stand out. At Loops Restaurant, where the motto is, “Just Good Food”, the sandwiches are purely Chicago-inspired, and indeed, very good.

Loops Restaurant was opened by the Constantinides brothers, Jim and Andrew, who missed the Windy City grub they’d grown up with and craved when they moved to Columbus years ago.

Loops Restaurant is located at 1629 Northwest Boulevard in the Fifth by Northwest neighborhood. The restaurant, which is run by GM Jim Comyns, has been there almost three years, and in that time, has grown a loyal base of customers who swear by their gyros, dogs, and polish sausage.

The move to add a food truck came out of the desire to be able to bring good food to the people who want to have it. It also allows for more creativity and flexibility with the menu, as offerings can be customized to fit the occasion.

Typically, guests can find the Chicago Style Dog with all the fixings, the all-beef Maxwell Street Polish, the Italian Beef finished with house giardiniera, the Greektown Gyro, and crispy and outrageously delicious Chili Cheese Fries, among other items, on the menu.

Sandwiches cost roughly $6.50-$7.50, with sides running at an average of $1-$2. That means, a full meal at Loops Food Truck will cost about $10. The truck will be at festivals around the city, and can be booked for your next occasion.

Having a brick-and-mortar means Loops Food Truck can offer more variety than some other trucks can. The ability to switch the menu daily is appealing because it means every visit brings a new experience.

“Our goal with getting a food truck is to continue on with our mission: Loops is just good food,” shares Comyns. “We feel like we will consistently offer a menu where at least one item will appeal to everyone, thus making it easier for a group of colleagues to go get something to eat.”

Loops Food Truck can be regularly found around the city. Loops Restaurant is open daily from 11am – 9pm. For more information, visit www.loopsgoodfood.com.
