An email went out to Passport Rewards Club members announcing the immediate closure of the location, though no reason was given. The Columbus restaurant has also been removed from Gordon Biersch’s website. The brewery no longer operates a location in Ohio.

According to beer industry news website Brewbound, Columbus joins a string of recent closures for Gordon Biersch which includes Syracuse, New York; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Rockville and Baltimore, Maryland; and Washington, D.C.

It’s the second long-standing Arena District restaurant to close in the last six months, following September’s departure of decade-old Three-Legged Mare.
