A number of locally-owned and Ohio-based restaurants and breweries will be serving their wares to hungry fans at the New Crew Stadium.
Columbus Crew SC will partner with major league sports catering company Levy on the stadium’s dining and hospitality concept, Crew Kitchen. Collectively, Crew Kitchen will handle the food and beverage experience across concessions, catering, on-site clubs and suites.
Crew fans helped steer the direction of the local food and beverage options, with 4,000 game-goers providing input on what they want to eat and drink, and how they want to order it and pick it up.
The lineup of local restaurants that will serve Crew Stadium on matchdays includes:
- Barrio Tacos
- Crafted Culture Brewing
- Dirty Frank’s
- Donatos Pizza
- Dos Hermanos
- Gemüt Biergarten
- Hot Chicken Takeover
- Legacy Smokehouse
- Preston’s: A Burger Joint
- Schmidt’s
Ohio-based businesses will represent 40% of the concourse dining locations around the stadium.
With its new stadium, the Crew is also making some changes to the food and beverage ordering process, designed to cut down on the time fans are away from the action. Supporters will be able to place orders in numerous ways, including ordering through mobile pick-up and self-service kiosks at most concessions stands throughout the stadium.
“Creating Crew Kitchen to provide an authentic Columbus-centric food and beverage experience for our supporters is front and center for the New Crew Stadium,” said Crew Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Steve Lyons. “Supporter feedback was critical throughout the stadium design process and when it came to dining options, our supporters stressed they wanted their food and beverage choices as quick, efficient and frictionless as possible so they could get back to the action on the pitch.”
The new stadium is slated to open Downtown this July.
