Little Changing for Lucky’s Market After Sale

It’s good news for Lucky’s fans. The Clintonville grocery store will largely remain the same Lucky’s shoppers know and love after its purchase by Cleveland-based Dave’s Markets.

The grocer announced the purchase of both the Columbus and Cleveland Lucky’s stores last week, following initial speculation that Lucky’s founders would retain control of the stores.

Aaron Saltzman of Dave’s Markets reassured customers that the stores would stay open with minimal disruption.

“The Cleveland and Columbus Lucky’s Markets stores are now locally owned,” Saltzman said in a statement. “Neither store will be closing. Both locations will continue to be open for business under the Lucky’s name just as they always have. We want our customers to know that the look in our stores isn’t changing. Many programs and products that you’ve come to love about Lucky’s will be there for you going forward, plus more to come.”

All of the team members at both stores have been offered the opportunity to keep their positions as well.

“These team members make our Ohio Lucky’s stores so special to our neighborhoods,” Saltzman.

Lucky’s Columbus is located at 2770 N. High St. in Clintonville.
